The Avalanche Triple Crown is the premier running series in the High Country of North Carolina. Headquartered in Boone, the TC consists of 3 events of varying distances and terrain. Each event showcases the beautiful area of Watauga County.

May 3 - The Triple Crown opened with the inaugural running of the Valle Crucis 25K. A beautiful day welcomed 60 runners to this challenging course.
September 5 - The second event will be the Valle Crucis 7 Miler.
October 3 - The final event of the series will be the Howard's Knob Run, Walk, Crawl.

Prize Money!
$1,500 in cash prizes!
$400 for top male and female
$250 for second place
$100 for third place
Based on combined times for all three events.

The three events that make up the Avalanche Triple Crown support the High Country Soccer Association. The funds generated support the Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex and provide operating support to the Association.
