Valle Crucis 7 Miler

The second event in the Avalanche Triple Crown, the Valle Crucis 7 Miler is the lynchpin for the Triple Crown series. Set in beautiful Valle Crucis, the 7 Miler is a tough circuit overlooking the valley.

Starting at Valle Crucis Elementary School and heading up the hill to Danner Cemetary the route climbs 785 feet to its highest point before dropping back down to the valley. The route crosses the Watauga River for the second time and finishes back at the school.

To accomodate more runners, the date has been moved to Friday September 5 for 2008. This year's event will be an evening event with the starting gun at 6:00pm.
